As Ondo state Chapter of the Association Of Online Media Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (OMPAN) was today inaugurated at the NUJ press Centre, Alagbaka Akure, members have been charged to verify information before disseminating it.
The South-West Coordinator of the association, Mr. Peter Jones, who sworn – in the newly executive urged members to apply intelligence, wisdom in writing stories before publications.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Bisi Longe thanked the Coordinator and promised that members shall use their platforms to give credible information to the people of the state and device means of tracking down quacks who may want to drag the name of the association in mud.
The newly Executive Members are:

Kunle Ariyo – Vice Chairman
Temitope Adedeji – Secretary
Mary Agidi – Treasurer
Israel Fagbemigun – Financial Secretary, Abiodun Tadese , Welfare director and Richard Ilesanmi, Public Relations Officer.
OMPAN which was founded in 2017 and comprises online journalists and bloggers, held its first national conference in Imo state and has constituted chapters in all the Southwest states.
