At the BEMORE Summer Bootcamp, girls are given basic knowledge about almost everything needed for sustainability and to be self-reliant.
On day 5, August 18th at the ongoing Bootcamp in Owerri, Imo State, the participants were taught how to make reusable sanitary pad for menstrual hygiene as alternative to the expensive types which many vulnerable girls/women couldn’t afford.
To crown it all, their lecturer is a BEMORE AMBASSADOR, Jegede Marvelous, a 2018 BEMORE Set who has distinguished herself by turning what she acquired at the BOOTCAMP into profitable ventures. According to her, she had trained over 200 girls in her vicinity how to make reusable pads.
Aside this, Jegede installed Solar Panel to power a three bedroom apartment in her Akoko Community area of Ondo State, another skill she acquired at the camp.
Today, Jegede is breeding more of herself.
