The 2021 edition of the BEMORE EMPOWERED INITIATIVE FOR GIRLS NAIJA, an initiative of Ondo State First Lady, Chief Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu enters day 2 in Owerri, Imo State.
The two weeks Summer Bootcamp for Girls, which the Ondo First Lady started in 2017 in Ondo State where over 1500 girls have been trained in Solar energy, ICT, and entrepreneurial skills, now spreads its tentacle to Imo State where Chief Betty-Anyanwu Akeredolu hails from.
The Imo edition kicked off yesterday with arrival and registration of participants in Goshen Anglican Retreat center, Owerri.
The leader of the team and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Gender Research and Documentation, Mrs Temitope Daniyan who were on ground during the early morning exercise explained that the girls would go through all the skills lined up for the Programme.
The musical instructor, Mr Sam, informed the girls that training will start today to discover those who are talented to write and sing songs.
Dancing instructor, Brave Ogidan said dancing training would commence on Tuesday, August 17 for those willing to learn modern entertaining dancing steps, which is a source of income.
Coordinator of Medical Team, Dr. Emmanuel Onyeama assured them of adequate Medical attention, and enjoined them to be free to approach their matrons if they have any medical complains.
Baking Instructor, Sehunfunmi also assured them of extensive training on how to bake cake and other snacks.
