A competent police source told our correspondent that the daredevil gang, who are presently cooling their heels in police cell have confessed to the killing of six innocent persons in Akure between 2019 to 2021.

It would be recalled that in August 2019, two robbers who operated with motorcycle arrived at the kiosk where late Adetutu was operating PoS and pretended as if they were genuine customers.
Reports had it that the bandits demanded for the sales of the day from the young lady.
But as the lady who had been operating the business in the area for some months tried to escape from the shop with the money, she was shot by one of the robbers.
The Hope Metro learnt that the same set of robbers also operated in Ajipowo/Ogundipe Estate in Akure which resulted to the killing of a middle-aged worker of a publishing company who was shot dead in the night.
The police source who confirmed the arrest of the hoodlums, said it took police a long time to carry out investigation which resulted to the arrest.
He said the confessional statement of the suspects is already helping the police to apprehend other members of the gang still at large.
