VANDALISM : Ondo NSCDC nabs suspect, recovers electrical armoured cable

The Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command has arrested the head of a notorious Criminal Syndicate for Vandalizing Electrical Installations and Transformer in Ipesi Community, Akoko South East Local Government Area in Ondo State.

While parading the suspect at the State Command Headquarters, Alagbaka Akure today, the Command helmsman, Commandant Eweka Edenabu relayed that a Four-man criminal syndicate have been holding Ipesi Community to ransom by vandalizing their Transformer thereby putting the Community in total power outage/blackout.

Commandant Eweka said the arrest was made possible through credible Intelligence by NSCDC Officers and men deployed to the area in collaborations with other Sister Agencies.

The suspect

He affirmed that Owolabi Taiwo aged 27years was arrested along with a huge Electrical Armoured Cable and some tools being used to perpetrate the evil act hence, efforts are on top gear to apprehend the three other Suspects who are currently at large.

The Suspect, (Owolabi Taiwo) would definitely be charged to Court for offences which contravenes Section 3 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, LFN 1990.

As a Security Agency saddled with the mandate of Safeguarding all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, NSCDC Ondo State Command will undauntedly continue to discharge her Statutory responsibilities at all times.

The State Commandant hereby issued a stern warning to all criminal minded persons in the State to either relocate or face the full wrath of the law.
