Photos: Less than 2 weeks that truck crushed people to death in Ikare, another accident claims live at the same spot

It was another weekend of tragedy in Ikare Akoko, the headquarters of Akoko North East local government when a primera car coming from Ogbagi side of Ado Ekiti Ikare road lost control and killed one person, injuring two others.

Positive fm gathered that the car was on high speed while descending the hill at okorun area of Ikare while the driver was shouting to alert people that the brake of his car had failed.

The driver eventually knocked down two men on motocyle, killing one person.

Men of the FRSC Ikare unit were promptly at hand for rescue operation.

The unit head of operation and Acting Unit Commander, Mr Kabir Mohammed while speaking with journalists, confirmed that one person lost his live while two others who were critically injured had been admitted at the state specialist hospital Ikare Akoko.

Mohammed while reiterating that the accident was as a result of break failure urged motorists to always ensure that their vehicles were in good condition before putting them on the road.

He also confirmed that the driver of the Primeria car survived the accident.

Meanwhile, some residents of Ikare Akoko have reacted to the incessant accident in the town.

One of them, a transporter, Mr Conway Ogunleye lamented that the accident occurred at the same spot where four lives were lost a forthnight ago due to brake failure, while another one occurred at Okerigbo.

Another community leader, Chief Teddy Ojuolape urged government to curb incessant motor accidents by dualising the road which is another gateway to Ekiti State.
