As the Islamic Ramadan fasting comes to an end, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Professor Adedayo Fasakin, has congratulated Muslims in Ondo State for the success of this year’s Eidul Fitr celebration.
Felicitating with the Islamic faithfuls, Prof. Fasakin implored them to continue in the spirit of brotherliness and forgiveness in order to have their supplications answered by God.
He also urged them to celebrate in low-key considering the current situation of the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and also observe all the precautionary measures spelt out by government to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
“On behalf of the entire Staff and Students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State,I sincerely felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters in the Institution and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebration, which marks the end of the Ramadan fasting.
“The self-abnegation displayed during the fasting period has shown that we’re all equal before Allah irrespective of our individual statuses, and it is only Allah that could accede to our supplications when genuinely made.
“I,therefore, encourage us to celebrate this festivity in low-key, and to continue to love one another in the spirit of brotherliness and forgiveness so that our prayers will receive Allah’s merciful blessings.
“Please stay safe as I warmly wish you all a happy celebration and Barka De Sallah”, reads his statement.
