The Ondo state Government is set to inaugurate the second session of the Youth Parliament following the expiration of the first session in 2013.
The event which was earlier slated for March 27 this year was postponed due to the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic in the country but will now come up through teleconferencing on Friday by noon.
The Governor of Ondo state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) is expected to declare the session open in which members will take the oath of office and be inducted.
The Youth Parliament of Ondo state is fashioned towards the composition of its state House of Assembly which is in line with the National Youth Policy (2019) that requires the inauguration of the parliament in every state of the Federation in order to give the youth who are future leaders the legislative experience and exposure to democratic values and practices.
