COVID-19: Olugbo distributes palliative items to Ilaje people

Foremost Yoruba monarch and Chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Frederick Eniolorunda Obateru Akinruntan, the Olugbo of Ugbo has distributed palliatives worth millions of naira to his people in Ilaje local Government area of Ondo State.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Olugbo stated that the gesture was to cushion the effect of the lockdown on his people and to also complement the efforts of the state government led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN in ensuring that people adhere to the sit at home order to contain the spread of the deadly Coronavirus in the state.

The monarch commended the State Governor, for his numerous efforts and initiatives put in place to combat the pandemic.

He therefore sensitised the people on various preventive measures to protect themselves, urging them to ensure they stay at home to avoid the spread of Coronavirus.

Olugbo promised to do more to assist his people and support Government to defeat the monster virus code-named Covid -19.
