XMAS: ONDO NUJ GREETS CHRISTIANS, CHARGES SECURITY AGENTS ON HIGHWAY KIDNAPPING

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council hereby joins global community to congratulate Christians on the occasion of this year’s Christmas Celebration.

In a Christmas message signed by the Union’s Chairman, Adetona Aderoboye and the State Secretary, Leke Adegbite, Ondo NUJ urges the people especially Christian faithful to be humble and kindhearted in celebrating this yuletide in obedience with the teachings of Jesus Christ whose exemplary life and redemption continue to inspire millions of people globally.

While wishing media professionals in the Sunshine State and beyond merry Christmas and prosperous New Year in advance, Ondo NUJ commends its members for their steadfastness and commitment in the outgoing year towards building a virile Union and just Society through balanced, objective and factual reportage of happenings in the state.

The Pen Pushers noted that the essence of Christmas which is the Birth of Jesus Christ manifests in joy, peace, love and humility, enjoining the people to desist from anything that can lead to breach of peace during this yuletide in the state.

The Union appeals to Security agencies to step up efforts in tackling ‘resurfaced’ kidnapping of travellers in Owo-Akoko axis of Ondo state where more than eight people including a Monarch’s family members and Catholic priests were abducted recently.
