Olugbo has administrative capacity to be Chairman, Council of Obas- Ondo APC

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, describes as noble and appropriate the appointment of the Olugbo of Ugbo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Fredrick Eniolorunda Akinruntan, Okoro Ajija I, CON, as Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas.

The party also commends the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN for opting for experience and versatility over and above sentiments.

The traditional institution has much to contribute to our quest for peace, security and development across the state. The importance of the royal fathers’ wealth of experiences cannot be over-emphasised

Oba Akinruntan has the charistma, requisite experience, exposure and administrative capacity to lead the invaluable institution, to the benefits and welfare of Ondo State.

Ondo APC notes that the sophisticated monarch has a well-defined and cherished personality that can not be ignored; both within and outside the State.

We urge the new Chairman, Council of Obas to use the position to further emphasised the nonpartisan status of the revered institution.

We hope and expect all the traditional rulers in the State to work together, and support measures and programmes of the State Government that are geared towards sustainable peace and progress of the land.

We urged the Olugbo to use his new office to enhance the of tradition and culture of our people, with a view to keeping same alive, besides exploring avenues to engender unity among the Obas in the State and in Yorubaland.

The APC also lauds the outgoing Chairman, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kadir Momoh, the Olukare of Ikare, with his team, for all that were achieved under his watch.
